Lavender Glass Velvet Stretch Velour Fabric

Lavender Glass Velvet is a beautifully lustrous stretch fabric with a rich, light-reflecting finish. Its short velvet pile catches the light as the fabric moves, creating shifting tones of lavender and a distinctive polished, almost liquid appearance.

Soft to the touch with a smooth drape and comfortable stretch, this is a wonderful choice for makes where you want the fabric itself to make an impact. It has a more reflective finish than a traditional velour, making it especially lovely for partywear, dancewear and occasion pieces.

Ideal for evening tops, dresses, skirts, ruched styles, fitted co-ords, leggings, children’s dancewear and costumes.

Buying fabric: Choose either a 50cm full-width piece or fabric by the metre. When buying more than one metre, your fabric will be supplied as one continuous length wherever possible.

Sewing tip: Velvet has a directional pile (nap), so lay all pattern pieces in the same direction before cutting. A walking foot can also help prevent the layers shifting as you sew.
